Gateway Casinos Repays LEEFF Loan
On Friday, October 22, 2021, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Ltd. (“Gateway”) repaid in full its Large Employer Emergency Financing Facility (LEEFF) loan to Canada Enterprise Emergency Funding Corporation (CEEFC). The loan was approved on September 25, 2020 in the amount of $200 million, and Gateway borrowed the full amount. Gateway’s repayment consisted of $200 million in principal, $6.0 million in interest and $20.6 million in fees, for a total of $226.6 million. The loan agreement between Gateway and CEEFC has now been terminated.
